COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHT: Lowell Wyse

Meet Lowell Wyse, executive director of the Tacoma Tree Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a community-based approach to growing the urban forest. Their mission is to educate, empower, and support community members in neighborhood-based greening.

We asked Lowell what lesson took him the longest to unlearn and he shares with us the ebbs and flows he’s found himself in when it comes to engaging with his community. What once came as a hard learned lesson of solitary resilience, he now finds himself re-learning the original lesson - you don’t have to do things on your own, and you are a part of a community. Thank you Lowell for getting real and reminding us that we are supported by others, all a piece of something bigger than ourselves.

Check out the rad community work Lowell is doing with Tacoma Tree Foundation at https://tacomatreefoundation.org/ and be sure to watch his full interview here https://youtu.be/fYNyOwvw31k.
