COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHT: Knic Pfost

Meet Knic Pfost of Blue Cactus Press. A local micro-press that operates out of the Union Club, publishing books “from the edges”.

Their work centers Queer and BIPOC voices in authorship, staff, and collaborations. With many of their books focusing on caregiving, community building, equity, and self-actualization.

We asked Knic to share something that gives them hope. Like many of us may be able to relate to, hope can feel heavy and hard to find these days. Knic reminds us that hope isn’t a weight to put onto those to come, but something that we can actively partake in now, when we engage in inclusive relationships with those across perceived differences.

Be sure to head over to https://bluecactuspress.com/ to see and support the work Knic and the team are doing. And be sure to check out the rest of this series on our youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/@surgecotacoma/videos.

Watch along, listen and see things from another point of view as we Highlight the People.
